And yes, I must correct you! Ryou knows about his alter ego. On pegasus island he makes kind of a deal with him to save yugi and his friends. - Which means Bakura told him, his friends would never got out of the room where they were trapped if he wouldn't put the ring back on.
You can read it in volume 12. 
But I don't know if they talked again I haven't finished reading the manga yet. ( But I guess he don't know about Bakura like Yugi does about Yami.)

I know. Ryou just knows him as a "voice" in his head though. Nothing more, at least, he has no concept of the spirit taking a ghost form or another bodily form apart from his.
