My usual argument is "Why does it matter to you?? You're never in here, so you never see it! And I'm just fine with it..." It doesn't really work, though...

Yeah. I've also used, "It is clean! My room, my standards!" That HAS actually worked before. If I argue long enough, they get sick of it and just leave, lol.

Yeah, well I don't do my homework anyway, and my parents would no better. XD
Usually I'll just say, "Well, I don't have room for anything to be put away! If you want me to get it all organized, buy me some boxes or shelves." And then she forgets or gets lazy, and it's no longer my problem. Haha.
