From the Remote Weapon Station and back, in order, you have the Commander's Independent Thermal Imager, the mast component of the countermeasures/defensive suit, radio antenna, and the crosswind/meteorological sensor mast. Behind that, the "faded" portion that rises up quite a ways is the Commander's Independent Thermal Imager in it's extended mast position. It allows for greater visibility (such as in a fire controller mode, directing the actions of other tanks in its unit) over obstacles and over distances for the imager's thermal imaging and visual systems and its laser rangefinder and designator. Theoretically it could also work for long range communications either as a sort of wireless hub or for more secure communication - a laser communicator.
