Comment on Pinkitude for life by QuicheLoraine

Personally, I would love to have my image represent the cause for which it was intended, but I am not sure what the legal/copyright issues are concerning my image now that the contest is over, especially with the MGM/Pinkitude logos on it which we were told we could only use for the contest, but I understand I retain ownership/artist rights....what exactly that entails and to what extent, I don't know. The prints of the 40 semi-finalists were offered for a short time afterward, by permission from MGM/Pinkitude, proceeds were supposed to go to Susan G. Komen, but DeviantART cancelled the print service once the permission was up, I assumed because of the copyright/legality, use of logos issue, and DeviantART being a commercial site. I wouldn't want to get your breast center involved in a legal/copyright dispute out of ignorance, so you might have to contact MGM/Pinkitude about it. I haven't heard anything from them since the contest (and correspondence was via DeviantART, not directly) as to what they intend to do with the image. I'll inquire about it though, and see what I can find out, and get back to you with the details.
