Thats the problem with photorealism. If you achieve it flawlessly you will have skeptics, and to me thats the best compliment i can recieve. Scroll through my black & white original drawings folder to see examples of my process and the pencil drawings untouched. I put a new layer over em on photoshop and yes thats when i overlay the colors but its a meticulous process and the end always justify the means. The image isnt overlayed but the colors are...from scratch. The reference image always stays what its meant to be, a reference, and is never a part of my piece.
