He gave a heavy sigh, clenching and unclenching his sore, padded fists. The fur around his wrists was more unkempt that ever, from slamming into the creatures of the night, once more...

He was used to it, by now. The teeth, the claws, the howling... but the stretchy arms still creeped him out, a little. If anything, his biggest pet peeve was the fact that he couldn't run nearly as fast as he used to...

Sonic shook himself, slightly, his large bushy quills shifting from side to side, before giving in to one, jaw-stretchingly enormous yawn, unsheathing his large fangs fully for an instant, before his mouth snapped shut and concealed them, once more, his eyelids drooping.

... but somehow, even that seemed insignificant in comparison to his latest dilemma.

Sonic the Hedgehog had not had a wink of sleep since regaining consciousness falling through the Earth's atmosphere. Three days. Three days of running as he always had and fighting and slashing as he'd never.

He found himself finally allowing his sleepy, heavy body to sit down on the ground. Chun-nan was silent, for now. He'd found himself drawn to one of their intricately designed pagodas, in search of another medallion, but the sight of the moon and its ethereal beauty simply ceased his search.

He sat there, arms stretched out behind him, supporting his body's weight with ease, his legs stretched out before him. His gaze was suddenly drawn down to his new body, as a result.

"Are you okay, Sonic?"

Chip had probably asked that out of concern for his physical and mental wellbeing. Sonic admitted that his first transformation had left him absolutely floored... and personally, he hadn't known how to react. He hadn't known if he was "okay." But... at the time, he also knew that it wasn't exactly the moment to lose his cool...

He brought up one of his large, clawed hands to examine. And after staring at it for a few moments, he couldn't help but give a small smile.

Did it really matter? He was just on another adventure. He could still run, as before. He was still himself. Even if he looked monstrous, and even if his abilities had changed...

Sonic lowered his arm to the side, staring out over the town of Chun-nan, alight with lamps, glowing amongst the rich, exotic, red and yellow architecture. His sleepy gaze rose up towards the lonesome full moon, high in the sky.

What had he been thinking?

His eyes slid closed, with a small, growl-like chuckle.

It had never mattered.

Aahh, maaan... XD Mixed with seeing cutscenes and that wonderful picture of yours, I got inspired. I had to get that out...

This is brilliant. That pagoda, especially... It must've taken ages to colour that and properly draw from the campus. Sketching might've been kind of easy, but colouring on Photoshop? This is really amazing...

Hee. WereSonic looks poised, there. The lighting on him is pretty cool - I understand that it could be a little difficult with lighting through fur, but this is really well done. :D

Thank you very much! ^^ Very, very much appreciated!

I shall cease stretching out your comment page, now. ^^;
