Well it is common knowlege that Lafayette did see Washington as a sort of a father figure, considering its also common Knowledge that Lafayette had no father figure because he was an Orphan... so its approiate that he would call Washington father
yeah..about the orphan part...every (and I mean EVERY) part of his family started dying all at once from sickness or old age...I kinda feel bad for him...but I thought it was interesting that he went to america at the age of 19... XD
