I disagree with your world view.. if corporations are so bad, then why can governments shut them down? is it so easily to shut down a rouge nation state? No, I think I would take the corporation over the political class..at least with a corporation you aren't subjugated by a military power..
People in socialist countries don't know what they are missing.. freedom is to succeed and fail by your own accord, in socialist countries, you think you are free, in reality you are left to a stagnate station in life, one that punishes your ambition with high taxation and rewards fools who do nothing but party and live off the government..

I'm guessing you object to totalitarianism. Me, too. For you describe a vision of totalitarian socialism. Odd thing is, it sounds awfully similar to totalitarian capitalism. Then it becomes a matter of which master you'd rather serve. Most Americans are, very much indeed, stuck at one station in life; ambition is discouraged at every level and chains of debt are forged for life via the "taxation" of your feudal-corporate masters -- most of whom don't pay taxes, and who probably party on their yachts and celebrate their offshore accounts.

I suppose I am rushing to judgment on your earlier comments..I think I have spent quite a bit of time outside the US, you see my parent were military, so I am no back woods bubba who has no inkling as to what I am saying..Neither am I naive..
I am sorry for our father.. it seems that if he were in another country say Canada, or England he would have still been waiting inline to get health care, and would have died without knowing what is was that killed him..If you read allot online and research the ideas and problems put forth in political debates, then you realize free health care is not free, money comes from somewhere to pay those "free" programs government sets up..and those "free" programs come out of everyone's pockets, and most of all those corporations who "never" pay taxes..

where we able to get the political class to relinquish their hold on the taxation powers, and got a flat and fair tax system on consumption, then we would truly be free people.
competition would keep the costs low, and the market would be brimming with free enterprises..imagine working a job and keeping all of your paycheck money. then you could buy what ever health care plan you wanted across state lines, with health care incentives and accounts to grow your money tied to sound and solid government bonds and or the choice of free stock options that are proven beneficial...you gain interest in the health care account as you pay in, and so on..
imagine making your full paycheck and spending the money to do what you want.. I am smarter then the government, and I would take that Fica, and income tax and put it to other use..I could invest it somewhere, and make a good return enough to build my own nest egg, or become a company owner, the taxes I Pay on what I buy would then be able to go to the small social programs for those who can not physically do anything themselves.. the estimated wealth that would return from over seas and which would come to the USA is about 14 trillion dollars, and it would set up the world's only tax shelter, which could benefit us greatly..
If you don't think Obama is a socialist, I can not convince you.. and I am not going to try to. I don't know you and you don't know me, and I certainly don't have any animosity towards you..I used to be a liberal, peace and wealth across the world..but I see the corruption, and how throughout history the population of the world has suffered under nany states and state run centralized government.. where the politicians get richer and the businesses get poorer until all the money is gone and dried up.. and life has become unbearable.. I have friends who lived in Russia, it is a great example of it, and Germany has had it's problems too, even in the E.U. look at spain, and Greece, their entitlement mentality has driven their economic situation to bankruptcy..

so Say what you will, and believe what you want, but if there is a communist party who allies with Obama's main supporters, then what is the common denominator? what would make a communist join forces with other interest groups to support the president?? well communism, is just a different form of socialism.. so not just on that basis, but a good example of why I believe Obama is a socialist.. not to mention the cover of newsweek magazine that stated quite clearly "we are all socialists now" and explained why and how Obama's policies would lead to that, and how it was supposedly good for America..
