This one in particular was done in roughly two days of free time... so about 8-10 hours. For the most part, though, I tend to be able to draw up a typical blade in 4-8 hours, without distractions. Depends on the size and detail and usually when I push myself to get something done within the day I set myself to do it. Hence why these last few works' descriptions have been lacking, because I haven't had the time to write on them as well. I'll only write something if I've got at least half a day to think on it beforehand. =)

...you're lucky you have that time to spend on them and that you can finish them within a day if you tried. The size and detail would definitely affect the time spent on it. that doesn't seem like a lot of time for something so detailed but you know what you're doing and you sit down to get it done. It takes me forever to finish something on a computer, but then again I'll spend a half hour here and there making it seem like forever spent on a project. Also that I really don't know what I'm doing...hehe *smiles* yeah thinking can really help. Especially when you have time, I have no time lately...It's a bummer... It's funny too, you have so much to build off of already yet you keep building :D

Yeah, yeah. =P In my defence, though, I have an imagination that just can't stop thinking of new stuff? ^^;

Yet to be honest... half the reason why I don't linger on one thing at a time is that I'm afraid I won't be able to recreate the same look effectively enough to call them of the same blood, so to speak. Same reason why I don't do much fanart of preexisting characters from games, anime and whatnot.

Anyway, the good thing about drawing weapons like these is that I only have to focus on one thing in the drawing. Sure, the same can be said for drawing people, depending on their detail, though they require a lot more time and thought, imo. And I just don't have enough aspiration for them right now...

Well yeah you have an imagination! A vague, "hey that's a neat overview of a possible awesome story" ;P

Ah, yeah that would be hard, keeping characters the same throughout if I'm getting what you're saying. I think you'd be okay if you spent some time with it...

That's true, I hate drawing backgrounds...and people for that matter, I can never get the shading right on faces. It drives me crazy so I stick to wolves...
you put a lot into their clothing too, you design them right? Or do you use a model? Hey as to having no aspiration to draw people, why not try something new?

Like? =P

I design most of my own clothing, yes. Though if I like something enough, I'll borrow parts of it into my designs. As for keeping characters the same... think if I had to draw a comic, I doubt I could draw a single character on the same page that people can identify with as the same person in every detail. Whether it's because I use too many personal details or what, I really don't have that much experience with drawing people, in that way. That's why I admire those artists who are capable of it.

Mmm...most of your short stories for instance...

wow, great job with the clothing styles. you could be a designer. hah. I think that's a true talent, to be able to drawn the same character time and time again...very difficult there. well those details add a lot to your artwork. just be glad you can draw people the way you do!

lol, the sad thing is that I usually surprise myself whenever I do complete something and it doesn't look half bad. ... if that's any indication of how shot my self-confidence is lately. >_>;;

And eh, first I need to find a stable muse. That's been my problem for the past half year, for it's true I've created the foundations for several short stories, (Or in this case, RP environments that could lead to in-depth short stories based on them... ) but they never get any further than that. Let's just say many who inspire me to create them in the first place tend to leave me in the dark before I can make something of them. So it's left a bad taste.

Yikes, well that happens a lot to me...but I'm usually satisfied with what I draw...and what happened with your self-confidence?=(

yeah, that would leave a bad taste...inspiration can be hard to come by and I hope you find a solid muse. It may be better to try to inspire yourself than to need someone else to help you with it. I've never really had a muse...I just draw what feels right to be drawn.
