i...... have no idea what you just said. can u explain. boil? static? i think i get it..... hmmm like when i slack on animating the rest of the body while i animate others. ? idk. one othe deviant said that her movements are too slow while she turns and flips. i need to know. do you think less frames? i do fail at producing the right amount of frames. maybe that's it?

boil? Keeping the lines and drawings constantly moving like in this: [link]

So even on a static pose, you would maybe draw the same image 3 times just tracing it freehand, and then you can cycle those 3 drawings forever and it makes the line boil like the drawing is still alive despite it not actually doing anything.

So maybe this could help those movements where...as you say, you have been lazy lol. While you animate some sections of the body and leave parts static, you could make the static parts boil by just adding 2 extra drawings of the same pose and cycle just to keep it all alive. Either that or you may very well need more frames, maybe more cushion and anticipation.

aaaaaaaaaaah so it's called BOIL. i'm so stupid. i do that sometimes but instead of drawing the frames out i cut and paste. and on every other frame i pressed the "sharpen" or "smoothen" buttons. it gave them that same effect. i didn't know there was an actual name thou. wow. thanks. i'll try to do that from now on. thanks AC. hey, you mind if i come to you with questions in animation? i have some things i'm animating and i may need some one to let me know what i should add or think about. i would be sending you unfinished works so let me know if you'd even have the time.

ha, i'm happy that you think highly enough of me to give you input. You are a much better animator and I am so rusty now. Seeing your work inspires me to do more animations, hopefully after my Norway trip. I will be away for the next 3 weeks. Feel free to send me whatever and if I get time out there I will take a look at it. I'll actually be learning acting for animation out there, so its all related. ^_^

i've seen your annies. they were the first things i noticed, really. i think i'm anticipating more annie from you. but seriously, i need to put more into it. animation can still suck even with all the glossy shiny colors. lol movement is the most important thing i forget while animating. i'll be sure to add your email

ok, cool.
Yeh, i'll try pumping more animation when i get back. I have been working on 2 projects at the moment My problem is I'll start something and then I'll get fed up of it and leave it unfinished and not happy enough to show anyone. I must try harder in future.

so you are doing things for classes still, dude? or am i late to the game and you have graduated and are now traveling the world in search for artistic enlightenment like a kung fu character searching for more kung fu moves? you character, you. lol in all seriousness, i think that's a sign you are growing like a banshee. when you aren't happy with something you know you can do better and move to the next piece, you're moving forward. so i can't kill you for not sharing. i just feel bad for the ones who aren't satisfied with their works but rather not stop and do it differently, but finish and complain. "if it's not right to you, stop doing it that way." is what i say. lol

i graduated, then went back to uni after a failed job hunt. Animation in the UK is practically dead unless is computer games or stop motion. I got invited to take part on a Masters Course in Animation and have been working on storyboarding. We havent actually done any animation all year which is disappointing.
