Just takes away from the majesticness of the picture. beautiful wild griffin-like creature--and then boobs. Sometimes mythical creatures shouldn't be replicated. But of course disagreeing with breasts on a completely feral creature just because it's ~~mythical~~ is ttly rude. so's enforcing the reputations furries are nothing but sex fiend fucktards. but, hey.
I don't see how it takes away from anything in the image; Shin did a fantastic rendition of my character. The pose, lighting, coloring, shading, everything. I don't think the addition of breasts sacrifices the quality of the art. If she had huge, bright pink macro nipples or something, I'd have to agree with you. But she doesn't have breasts because "gee I'm a furry and thought it'd be hawt on a quad animal fapfapfap." I love Greek mythology and art and was inspired by the sphinx (and Greek culture in general) when creating these creatures. I can assure you, there was no sexual intent behind it, I just felt it added a more human-like quality to them, as well as some sophistication. And typically, they are clothed, I just don't have any current designs up because I'm a slacker.
Anyway, just thought I'd mention it since you weren't the first to bring it up. I'm sorry they bother you, but like I said, the intent was not to sexualize the species or appeal to fappers. But everyone's entitled to their opinion! Shin has plenty more boobless-animal pictures to enjoy, which I highly recommend you check out if you haven't already.

My only real problem with the fact it has breasts is a) It has no real torso, like a human. So it looks just tacked on to a feral body, which is why I feel it's just 'lol sex plz'. and even further to not making sense is b), the chest of such a creature would be very muscular, and so fatty breasts would just have no place there. *shrugs* I come at things very often from a realistic standpoint, so even if it weren't just for the fappers, it'd still be blegh to me.
I'm sorry for being aggressive over this, but the fact is, he's popular. No one seemed to be mentioning it, and even if I said it in a nice way, I know I'll be flamed, anyway.
I'm also aware of the rest of his art, which is why this bothered me so much in the first place. I didn't want to see one of my favorite fantasy artists become just another fapper furry artist. :/

I think my issue is that Shin wasn't paid to draw a character that "appeals to everyone." He/She was paid to draw my character, just as she is. So if you have an issue with anything regarding her anatomy, I feel it's more appropriate that you go to my gallery and leave a comment like that on something that I've drawn featuring this character. Does that make sense? Then I'd be able to talk more with you about this matter under my own deviation. 'Cause like I said, everyone's entitled to their opinion and I'm not forcing anyone to like or approve of the creatures I design. Feedback, whether positive or negative, is always good (unless it's something like "yiff in hell furfag").

I just went off of Greek sculptures and artwork, and...not even the Greeks had that "anatomically feasible" part down when it came to their beasts, lol. So getting more opinions and trying out new designs is a-okay by me.

You assumed you'd be flamed (by either me or loyal fans to Shin), so you didn't bother to elaborate about what bugged you. Hopefully, I've managed to reassure you in some way that your opinion --albeit not initially helpful-- does matter, at least to me.

I'll be fiddling with the designs a bit more and will incorporate more muscle, as you suggested.
