Hehe. Dont you ever dare turning up on my doorstep... Nah, just kidding. You are most welcome if you're ever in my part of the world. I'll take you up into the great mountainous wilderness. Beware of the bears though
When I was browsing through your recent work, this one is the one that stood out the most for me (hence commenting on it). I've seen many shots similar to this, but this one is still something special. The light, the mist, the fantastic composition. It just works so great.
I think people get too caught up with that "i gotta shoot wideangle for landscape" stuff. Who says that? I mean, variation is the key to becoming an even better photographer. The ability to work with all ranges from extreme wide to the longest tele is an advantage for the landscape photographer. Isolating compositions is sometimes very useful. I use the 70-200 quite a lot when doing landscapes. Especially in the mountains where the visible range is quite far sometimes. Then you just need to isolate peaks while you still manage to get a great composition.
And yes, everything is good. As good as it gets I think. To be honest, the last 5-6 months I haven't really had the energy for photography. A while I had this "bad" feeling about photography after shooting a lot for work. Product photography just kills my creativity and it's possibly the most boring things I have done in my life. Not fun I tell you, but it pays the bills (well, at least some of them). Work has been tiresome and I don't have the time to go on excursions as much as I would have liked to. Therefore I have to spend my vacations wandering about in the mountains, which is good.
I hope to be more active in the future. I had almost forgot how much great stuff you guys produce. It was a treat browsing through your latest work.
