My friend made them for me so I don't know the whole process of how they were created.. but I do know that he used wood and carved them out, and painted them. I think there's 3 layers of the wood, so he sandwiched the yellow handle in the middle of the circle part between the outer red pieces. Then secured it all with wood glue I'm betting.
