I suppose the word adamantly and the stanza which contains it could be viewed as cruel irony.
But in knowing a couple things about the author,
It seems less ironic, and more so just cruel;
A cruel detachment
The words seem to conflict with the things I know about you. perhaps those things have changed, i do not know.
this also confuses the concept of the overall piece for me.
