I applaud you. I intend to create a realistic zombie makeup in the future. You have just set a new standard for me. If you don't mind, I'd love some tips from you on how to create open wounds.

Thank you very much for your kind words! Well, for this particular job the key ingrediant is geletin. You buy standard unflavored knox geletin-check your baking or canning aisle-and mix in a small amount of (very!) hot water. It shold begin to gel and clump. It will take some practice to get the right consistency. Color it as you please; I prefer some red food dye, blood, and a dot of blue dye. (Blue is an excellent color to pair with reds for deep blood tones) You can now use this for dripping blood or for a bloody gloss. For the texture seen here, mix crushed corn flakes, (or cherios, or chex...you get it :) ), and slather on.

THe gouged eye effect is a circle cut out of black panty hose, adhered with liquid latex, patched around the outside with toliet paper, (make sure to use 1-ply, or at least non-flowered), covered with greasepaint and geletin. I always smudge a little greasepaint around the edge to blend.

You enticed a shot a laughter when you mentioned flowered toilet paper. I understand what you mean but I got some mental image of a torn wound with flower patterns on the edges. But I really do thank you for the tip. I'm off to check the rest of your works as I'm very curious about what else you did so far.

Haha, well would you take a mangeled zombie very seriously if he had teddy bears and hearts imprinted in his face? XD

I might if it's an 8-year old. Those zombies are disturbing to say the least. :fear:
