Because then you fail as an artist.

Okaaaaay... Most impressive !

:blahblah:
Why do you try to patronize me instead of simply saying you don't like it ?

You think you understood the theory but you haven't got enough visual experience or drawing practice to just pretend knowing the "truth" about "art"... so cut the crap.
Kikirini's avatar
So because someone can't draw, their opinion is automatically invalid? Are you that immature that you would believe something like that? Before I go on, I'd like to point you to this stamp: [link] I think the message is something you might need to learn. =/

I've read over this whole conversation, and I have to say, it's pretty pathetic the lengths that you go to to ignore ~DJ-Anarchy's comments. The woman IS out of proportion, whether you like it or not, and if you're so set on your picture looking fine this way, all you had to do was explain that you drew it this way intentionally and be on your merry way.

Instead, you whine like a preteen ("You're not the boss of me! Hmph!"). "Mainstream?" Um, have you looked at the art around you lately? It IS mainstream to draw the way you do: with terrible, terrible proportions and styles. So instead of climbing onto your high horse and covering your ears anytime someone does other than masturbate to your artwork, try acting like a mature adult. From your profile, I gather you are a professional comic artist. If that's the case, I'd imagine you'd be capable of taking feedback, it be good or bad.

This is the internet. If you don't want bad feedback, don't put it up. Not everyone is going to like your disproportionate women.

"all you had to do was explain that you drew it this way intentionally (...)"
... Are you kidding ?

There's a whole galery of my drawings... And I always do more or less the same shit...

Is that too hard to go there before commenting ?

Am I supposed to think about each poster's comment state of mind to try to understand what they should want to say before I feed back ?
Kikirini's avatar
Wow, I'm going to say the same thing I just said in the post I sent you.

Grow up. It's called the internet. Not everyone is going to look through your gallery. And guess what? There are thousands of artists out there who make mistakes on accident. So YES. You are supposed to think about each commenter's state of mind. We all have to. I have to. DJ-Anarchy has to. You're not special, so stop thinking you are.

Your immaturity is painful to read. Seriously.
kiwine's avatar
And who the fuck are YOU to judge people ?

You havin' fun, though ?

Have a good day.
Kikirini's avatar
Says the person who whines and bitches like a little girl when someone isn't fapping to his artwork.

Yes, actually, I am having fun. Seeing popular "artists" like yourself resorting to pathetic tactics to defend themselves is great entertainment.

You too, darling.
kiwine's avatar
Hey I cannot speak your language as fluently as you do, okay ?

So now: Do you really think the first comment of your dear friend was constructive ?
Yours is, but his wasn't... it was short and childish.

And so, what's both of you point ?
Listening to you now should open my eyes on a brand new way of seeing life and art ?
Like I'm a preteen ?

What a joke.

It's just hater's comment... trolls always win.
Kikirini's avatar
I never said it was constructive. But his comment is true, whether you like it or not. If you find it childish, so be it. But you were childish right back, so I don't really think you have a place to complain about it.

I don't really care whether you "open your eyes" and all that you said... I don't peruse DA enough to see art like yours and complain about it. I have the magical gift to ignore all the wish fulfillment artwork that has plagued this site.
What I am trying to say is that if you can't handle negative feedback, either disable comments on your artwork or stop posting it online. Because if you really were capable of acting more mature than a 13-year-old, you wouldn't whine like this when someone comes along and points out the flaws in your picture.

A respectable artist would have replied, "I disagree, but thanks for the feedback."
You, on the other hand, continue whining and fighting like ~DJ-Anarchy (or anyone, for that matter) has no right to say something other than, "lol, that's hot."

So, I reiterate my point: Grow up or don't post your art online.

Oh, and "haters" have valid opinions too. Just to point it out.
kiwine's avatar
"Grow up or don't post your art online"

You forgot "or..."

I think this conversation is a dead end: If you call "mature" to say "I disagree, but thanks for the feedback." when someone pee on your work with false pretense, I do call this a politically correct way of saying "I don't give a shit"...

But you're right: I just should have ignore this kind of comments.
Kikirini's avatar
There is no other option. If you, someone whom I imagine is, or is close to being, a professional artist, cannot even take one criticism, then I dearly hope that your employers are forgiving people, because even real artists get fired if they can't take the amounts of criticism their employers will throw in their direction. And if that's not the case, I do hope you can keep yourself from crying, because if you do it this badly from an anonymous person on the internet, I'm scared for how you will act when someone tells you to your face that you did the job wrong and points out all your mistakes.

It is a dead end; I agree. Because you seem to think saying, "You're right daddy," "How much do I owe you Doctor," and being incapable of forming logical arguments to prove your view is the right one is "mature." Which is rather pathetic.

Welcome to the internet, hon. Not everyone is going to like your work, and not everyone is going to be quiet about it. So, please, grow some thick skin, or hope dearly that your fans stop touching their penises long enough to type something in defense of you.

Tant pis.

I'm not patronizing you. If I was patronizing you, I would have been a much bigger dick. What I'm trying to tell you, via my own harsh sentiment, is that you either need to improve, or stop. 'Cause, like so many other artist that I almost consider it a fad among today's young artists, you throw proportions out because you don't realize how important they are.

Be unique, try doing it correctly!

Hehehehe...you have NO IDEA what my experience in art is kid...But I'm sure my knowledge speaks for it self in these matters...
kiwine's avatar
Yeah ! You're so right daddy, I'm a shit in drawing anatomy... I'll stop right now and go to photography instead.

Thanks for everything.

By the way, I wasn't aware that the new way of being anarchist was so... consrvative.
DJ-Anarchy's avatar
I'm sure the word you were looking for was "conservative," but I will ignore that for the moment. And as for anarchy, don't let the emo rock groups fool you; in it's purest form, anarchy is a peaceful lack of government. It has nothing to do with being radical, or violence.

Second, I said get better or stop. That should motivate you to improve your skills, instead of whining because you can't take harsh language or criticism.

Moral of the story: grow some thick skin, learn to take a critique, and improve on your proportions.
kiwine's avatar
No: I will be a photographer.
DJ-Anarchy's avatar
Yeah, THAT was really mature. *roll-eyes

Now you are boring me.
