well i agree with Jean herself being useless. she isnt very powerful and is just THERE haha but being a class 5 mutant with her powers locked away stops her from using her maximum potential.
but Phoenix joins her and she IS the Phoenix till it corrupts her. and kills Jean but the Phoenix is alone using her body. so in essence she is quite powerful. Phoenix only is powerful when it uses SOMETHING powerful. It could have used Wolverine and done nothing. (Jean Grey fan/nerd -_____-)

Exactly, now compare her character with Azula. She has a "powerful" personality, not necessarily the most "powerful" character in ATLA.
I'm sorry for not being clear, I meant in attitude/personality. Not abilities. God knows Phoenix Jean can butt rape just about anything, didn't she give Galactus a whooping once? Crazy stuff.

That is true. well she is at war with herself because of the Phoenix joining her when she was 8. killing nearly all her neighbors when her best friend died. but yeah i agree with you Azula is great personality wise.
