Ah man! I hope she gets better soon! I'm sure the woman'll be fine - it's just a pain in the arse because she was in hospital for a week doing every test going, and the doctors couldn't find anything. My knees, I can learn to live with, but if I ever have to see her laying in a hospital bed the way she was when they brought her back from theatre after keyhole surgery?

I've never felt useless in my entire life.

Oh right, what do you do at the hospital?

yeah, that's rough to go through. I guess it will happen to all of us at one point at least.

I work at a behavioral psyche hospital. The units run from drug rehab, sex offenders, sexually abused children and kids with general psychiatric needs (suicidal, homicidal, cutting, etc.). I'm not exposed to every kind of illness, but when there's a bug or virus it pretty much runs through us all! :)

Mmm.

Wow, that's gotta be tough - the girlfriend's a children's nurse, she's had to deal with some similar people. I'll say to you what I say to her - I couldn't do your job, and I have the utmost respect for people like you, that can and do on a daily basis. :)
