Delightful! Definitely not a pallanoph at all! Congrats!

I love the colors and style here, it's very fitting to the mythological species. And I want to congratulate you on making a more original version of the hippocampus, most artists just follow a standard design, but this one makes it seem fairly plausable. :)

Finally, something without the pallanoph face... wait... there it is. :XD: Argh. I should draw an elephant to shake that habit. :D

Thanks! I figured I'd try for something different, I love twisting the traditions to make them mine.

I'll bet if you drew an elephant it'd still look like a pallanoph… :giggle: Now I want you to do it!

It would... and I should. I have an urge to draw one all decked out in some sort of... I'm not sure. I forgot where I was going with that. :XD:

You know... like in Indian/Southeast Asian art. :D I'm not sure if I'm up to drawing one so elaborate!

Draw like an obese elephant, that way it would be really hard to get that lean pallanoph design in it. You could make it comical, like the elephant had a few too many peanuts in the circus so the shiny blanket thing (you know, that they are adorned with in the circus) is just about to pop off but he's still eating those peanuts! I think that'd be cool…

Wow, um, yeah, that style… yeah… eleborate. But you've done some pretty detailed stuff before. I'm sure you could do it as long as you came back to it once in a while. ^_^

Ha! I like that idea... I might just use that. I think it would be further comical if this scene was drawn in a variant of such an elaborate style!

Now to find the time... (:noes:)
