Rooney also stated that during production, Kovu was DESCRIBED as an orphan, and unfortunately, people are getting the false assumption that he's not Zira's son, and I think we all know the reason why: the dad is absent and Kovu doesn't take as much after his mother as his sibs do. Rooney also said "as far back as I can remember", AND called Kovu "one of the most interesting characters", so he can't mean it in THAT sense. NOTHING in the film implies he's a orphan AND they never said that word ONCE. The Lion King Wiki contains a bunch of lies on these subjects, I do not recommend using them as a source. Compare Kovu with Zira side by side at different angles, and you'll see the similarities. That movie is just full of plot holes. I want to make a TLK 3 that will fix these problems. And I want to make it to where they have one father with two eye colors (to explain Kovu and Vitani's). Also, and we can use this rule, Kovu and Vitani are the same height, shorter than Nuka and Zira, and Nuka is slightly shorter than her, so K and V just have to be twins. Now, the best orphan definition for Kovu is, NOT the animal definition, but the definition that he lost his father, all 3 of them did. I'm just a little afraid that some people will oppose me strongly for this, but even TLK original had dumb ass theories, so its unavoidable. The original script had Zira as Scar's longtime mate. That was the thing micheal eisner wanted changed. So her relationshipp with Scar became obscure and Kovu was described as an orphan."
There. Much more clear. So her relationship with Scar was purposely obscured(And Kovu is neither Scar no Zira's kid apparently).
