I think the groups actually need a standard "joining" tab. Different groups have different rules and requirements. There should be a specific area that shares those sort of details. I thought About Us was an obvious enough choice and I posted the joining rules there. After a ton of people didn't follow the instructions I had to post a custom box on the Home page linking them to the About Us. Some people are just not quite capable of learning on their own, I don't think.

Once I put that Home page box up we haven't had any issues.. well except for old members sending in the same information they sent us when they joined the first time. The whole transition is just going to be a bumpy ride. Everyone is bound to figure it out eventually.
