Thank you Tony :) I'm glad you like it. I have increased the contrast of the mid-tones slightly - I'm not sure if it's really noticable, but it does improve the clarity. Thanks for the tip. (I'm also trying a new more subtle approach to post-processing now as I realise I've overdone it a bit in the past :) )

That gives the image more impact, the whole thing looks sharper and clearer.
I may have to get those books that you recommended in your journal though I already have dozens. I have three different ones just on Photoshop and haven't looked at any of them yet.
A lot depends on how your monitor is set up. I tend to make my images a bit on the dark side so I have the brightness of my monitor turned down to compensate for it, when it looks right on my computer I know it will look slightly brighter on most other peoples monitors.
