Thanks for your feedback. I have to admit I don't use my dock sideways, though just testing it they are packed pretty close. Probably because there's less vertical real-estate than there is horizontal (good thing there's auto-hide!). I wouldn't be surprised if the OS X dock is actually deliberately cropping in the icons so it can pack them as densely as possible.

I've thought about doing some Office replacements (both the upcoming Mac and Windows versions of Office have unpleasant single-letter icons), but it's taking me long enough to get the remaining Premiere icon up to scratch, so it'd be a longer while still before even considering such a project ;)

Thanks for the reply. The reason I have my dock on the side is because I think with most applications (such as web browsing) space on the bottom is more useful than space on the side. However, I'm using a 13" laptop and perhaps with a bigger screen this wouldn't be so important. I'm also glad to hear you've considered redesigning the Office icons and I hope you have time after you're done with Premiere. (Too bad about loosing all those 3D models)

I tried my dock on the side just to see how it looked; I agree that it does seem quite tight. Not much I can do about that. other than maybe make a set that's rotated 90 degrees ;)

I'm making slow progress with Premiere, because it's such a complex object to model (even with simplifying the model from its source inspiration). It is frustrating that I lost the models (well, all my modelling and not just for the icons), but I guess that's life.

Anyway, time to be productive!
