Pretty much 'Brother Bear's anatomy is a somewhat 'glorified dog bear's?

Then again they do that after they study the animal in question's anatomy quite a whole lot first...

Then they 'bend the boundaries' on the anatomy to make the preferred animal 'cartoonized' to be able to animate that much easier eh?

Still though, I find it sad that people as a whole (except for the few of us) take Disney's anatomy as the 'True anatomy' and then use that as a base...

And then go from that to create their characters than going to look up and search out references from real life and study from that instead.

So in a way, they use Disney's twisted anatomy as a 'cheat' rather than doing work and studying from real life pictures and skeletal structures of real bears....

It's similar to people using The Lion King as a basic anatomy rather then the actual real life anatomy of lions and felines in general.

Same with Balto as well....

In short I'm agreeing with ya. 100%, Hun! Sorry for my 'book' of a comment!

Brother Bear is definitely a case of them studying the animals anatomy and picking and choosing what they wanted, what they found defined a bear, as they were turning it into a cartoon. Which I'm cool with, I actually really love the bears in Brother Bear c': But they aren't too dog-like really, they're very bear-like.

One of the problems is people look at the Disney anatomy and not only assume Disney is the truth but fill in the blanks they can't make out. Which is where the dog anatomy gets spliced in.

it's nice to hear someone agreeing with me. It's perfectly fine to end up at a location like disney's "deformed"/cartoon animals but I think it's important to take the journey the Disney artists took to get there. Which includes studying the animal for yourself!
