So "Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Ark" would technically be a "Deus Ex Machina"?
Not at all because 1) Indy explains everything important about the Ark --including what it does-- before he goes anywhere near the Ark, and 2) we SEE supernatural things happening around the Arc --the Nazi Eagle burns away on the Ark's box-- before Indy even gets involved.
