DirectX9 is a software that I think is free pretty much anyways
but yeah, i ran that game on a 128mb video card with 512mb ram with D9 software and it ran fine

i have WAY more than that now, and it runs like a dream, on the setup their talking about, some of the newer models (like the l4d commons) will actually crash the game
