Are you fucking kidding me???

Hetalia is the reason I LOVE history! Whoever says that should be proud that it's uniting so many people and getting people interested in the rest of the world and its history, not sceptical that history is being disrespected! If anything, Hetalia is teaching people, in a fun and entertaining way, about the world. Not mocking it. xD

Hetalia will unite the world. xD

Sorry, I saw this and had to agree with you. xD

It's kinda true...I don't care. I have to agree it doesn't unite the world BUT it teaches yhou about cultural values like the finnish and salmiakki and stuff like that.
and it's kinda fun to make country OCs annyways

But I hate when people say it's a substitute for an actual text book...really? yeah it's supposed get people INTERESTED in history Not be a guide...
though It really got me into ancient history (Greece's mom, ancient Greece)
but where else do you learn about seychelles or sealand or busby's chair? yeah yeah whatever im a hetalia otaku so what? every anime has its haters and fantards...hetalia is a big one (primarily cause the fanbase is huge)
now it wont reunite world peace (no no never...there's just too much shit to be doing that) but it does make new friends ^^
I just really hate the whitewash..i prefer the webcomics or the fandom than the anime. ive lost hope for it (except the nordics)

Yeah, I do agree with you pretty much entirely here. It's not supposed to be a substitute for real history books and lessons, but it taught me a hell of a lot of stuff that they just don't have in textbooks! The kind of stuff you can go and Wikipedia later, like Busby's chair is a good example of that. I had no idea Sealand even existed before Hetalia ... now I know a lot through research. lol

Thanks for your comment :D

Lol..Yeah! And you would be surprised at what comes out of the fandom

Like this! And all sorts of neat stuff!
And half the time I had NO IDEA that the Ottoman empire even existed! I felt so stupid. I wasn't into vikings but I have so so much interest in it! ^^ it's such a neat show too!
All though it has its limits, we can all learn something! We make friends and we discuss history!

I felt pretty retarded too for not knowing half that stuff even though I took modern history at school ... yeah! Even history classes don't teach you some things lol ... that's what makes Hetalia special it might not be a great history lesson per se but it just makes you aware of stuff that you just had no idea existed at all.

That's what I mean when I say Hetalia can unite the world. It won't unite it in the literal sense, but it brings people together in a way, like you and me with similar opinions and interests. That's all! ^^

I know! What other show are you gonna get with TRNC and Little Wy? Not to mention all types of stuff! It is kinda fun too...But because the world map just doesn't look normal to me anymore xD! It's so historical. I really love when we're taking notes, and I remember one day the teacher was talking about how Spain owned Florida...And I started to giggle a little! And the discussion of history! ^^ It's so fun! (out of all the animes I've seen in my life period somehow this is the most addicting one I've known soo so much about!)

Yeah! Even the haters are also being united! It helps them pay more attention to history regardless of whether or not you like it! So that's another thing in common!
