liquisoft, I'm afraid the new idea doesn't appeal to me. I'm not a fan of green really (but I put up with it on the site :) ), so the bright lime green colour of the new logo just looks ugly, almost like fluoro green.

To be honest, I'm quite happy with the original logo. In fact, I'm happy with the original site, and don't want it to change.

You mean dA v1!?! That pasty green ogre of a webpage?! I joined in the latter releases of v6, but I've seen skins that emulate v1, and they make me shudder. "Nice color; what do you call it? Kind of a greyish-green, huh?" Leave those colors with the Army, where they're useful. I think bright and vibrant should be the future, it's time to abandon nostalgia and move forward!

I mean the current DA look. I like it because it is grey-ish, which means its less distracting for a viewer, and easier on your eyes.

It might need a change I guess, but I'm not prepared for a full on overhaul of the site (and I REALLY don't want a 'vista' or 'glossy' look on buttons and toolbars on the site, that I'd like to be avoided).

And I'm definitely against any bright green or fluro green on the site, because:

1. I'm completely disgusted by the colour green (but not grey-green).
2. Bright green is distracting, and stops a viewer from having an enjoyable and visually pleasing experience.
3. It's ugly. Who'd want any bright green on a professional art community site? Seriously?

Well, we both have a right to our own opinions. Ultimately, it will be up to the users weather or not the bright green colors will replace the "Gruze", via official polls and such. If more people feel as you do than as I, then the brighter colors will likely be dropped. Until then, we just have to wait for v7.

I guess we do :). Isn't it a pain that none of us can convert others to our opinions? :D That's what I feel sometimes, but that's just not gonna happen.

For the past month I've been using v7 of DA (I was given a free sub) and I found that the DA logo didn't distracted me from my work. Though they did put a few changes here and there to make it fit. When v7 comes out (trust me you'll know that it's come out) I don't think you'll notice.

We'll have differences with the colour, but we can agree to disagree.

Yeah :) Thats the fun thing about opinions. We can't all think the same, or force others to think like us.

So how'd you get v7?

Also, when 'v7'comes out, do you mean, when DA changes the sites interface/appearence?

First you'll need to be a beta tester (you'll need a sub for that, I was given a one month sub for free,) to get the beta version of v7.

v7 is a masive change to v6 (the one we're using now) design wise so yeah.
