Why should carnivoras not deserve the attention they get? I mean, I understand that some other groups of animals may deserve more, or respectively the same attention, but lesser? Same as with this term "overrated". I don't see a point in being displeased with something because it is dearly cherished by many people.
I must have used the wrong words to describe my opinion. Carnivoria is certainly fascinating, but I believe that other animals deserve attention too.
I think it might be because most carnivores kill things, and we naturally find that really badass, cool, and interesting. I, however find it insulting when people always assume that all non-carnivores are weak, unintelligent, and boring. Many non-carnivores are actually pretty badass, powerful, and can be intelligent (even though they might not always be as intelligent as carnivores).
I'm mostly talking about the popular mindset that carnivores are superior to everything else (it's sort of ironic too because us humans aren't even carnivores, but rather primates!).
I have nothing against carnivores at all. I think that they are really awesome! I'm sorry if my approach at this idea was kind of rude :^(

Well, surely many people are rather narrow-minded and ignorant, but I guess there are still enough carnivora-lovers that also love non-carnivores. But we all have our personal preferences and I wouldn't blame anyone for that. For example I love almost all animals, but for a varity of reasons I love wolves most and therefore give them the most attention.
Well, we humans are omnivores, but actually our social behaviour is more similar to that of social carnivores like lions, wolves, wild dogs (and primates indeed). We form packs, we live in territories and we also hunt or used to hunt. There are many reasons why people tend to feel attracted to carnivores. I do understand your point, though!
