Well, here's a real, single, polar function that will plot a heart:
r(theta) = abs(theta -(pi/2)) + (1/3)*((theta - pi/2)/3)^30
r(theta) = abs(theta -(pi/2)) + (1/3)*((theta - pi/2)/3)^30
