Wooooooooooow.... I never thought I'd see this scene come to life, I can see how researching it would've been traumatic.

Heh, I had my doubts too... and if not for our fickle friend inspiration, it probably wouldn't have happened. (Oh my GAWD yes, and it's worse when you consider that birds are some of my favourite animals.

yep,.. well from a practical standpoint, you would have needed at least 3 more pages to make it especially sappy. We can't afford that in a "brief" flashback.
