Jen is a awesome character but they just don't know what to do with her. Wait a minute! They don't know what to do with any of their characters!!!!
That's true to some degree with each character. But it's more pronounced with Jen. Dan Slott seemed to know how to treat her, but then they pulled him off the book. 
Jen should be done as a fun loving adventurer. She loves her strength and power and the adventure which goes with it. Sieze the day and crush it in a bearhug , would be her motto.
I dunno, I kind of like Super-hero lawyer better.
