Jailbreaking isn't that bad, it used to be really hard and strenuous but
lately it's gotten alot easier, and safe. =]

What if you have to update your firmware though? My friend couldn't use all her jailbroken apps after she updated.
You don't update the firmware, not until they come out with a new
jailbroken firmware. Usually they do small updates and you just skip them
until there is a big firmware update.
