i actually googled "we're all ugly on the inside", I feel like I can relate to the rabbit guy, as I was thinking about the topic. it was something i decided to be true. meaning: when broken down to its base parts, every human body looks the same, it's ugly/repulsive/grotesque regardless of how the individual looks on the outside. This also applies to personality. the image we project to others, with fashion, what we decide to discuss and share with others, what we present to others, when broken down is all just a mechanism of the mind, the ego. put like that, nothing seems too cool anymore, and nobody is especially beautiful.

That's very much in the vein of what I was getting at. Our experiences, the way they relate to them, over the years I thought a lot about how to make sense of them, sense of why we act the way we do, and why we call some things good and some things bad and why there's both agreement and disagreement about them. And I do think that human behaviour (and animal behaviour in general) is somewhat reducible to some very simple core components, in which we essentially are driven to define what represents reward to us, and then decisions we make are our attempt to negotiate this.
And I don't think that it's an injustice to our natures to describe ourselves in this fashion, without passing off that which we can't comprehend as a beautiful mystery. If you understand, ugly, beautiful, it doesn't really matter in the end. And only if you understand will you be able to tell when the whole is greater than the sum of parts.
