You do not sound like an old fart, you sound like someone with a shred of traditional decency. The only issue I would have is with the use of the phrase "G-aweful", using the lords name in vain is never acceptable. There are plenty of other terms out there to describe this disgust. Not only that but the lord would never approve of such disrespect toward one's fellow working man.
