I wish I could have been there; it looks so colourful and great. :)

It was my first use of the camera. I had been to the market before and it's mainly cheap junky stuff from China and very little local art and craft so I wasn't expecting to see anything much to shoot. But when I looked at things through the camera it all just leapt out at me. I was really surprised. So I can highly recommend junky markets!

I love it when that happens! It's great when you look through the view finder and suddenly you see all these potential shots. It's wonderful. I never thought of that though... I'll have to go to some markets some time and check it out. With my camera, of course. :)

Yeah, you'd have some excellent markets up there! Probably with heaps more local arts and crafts too. Mareeba would have to have one and Port Douglas would have one for the tourists I'd reckon.

I'll have to go out to a few one day.

Port Douglas as a tourist destination isn't really all that it's cracked up to be, in my opinion. I'd preffer Mission Beach any day. :D

Oh Mission Beach is wonderful! I worked on Dunk in a previous life so I got to spend time at Mission. Beautiful spot. You're right, the level of plastic is lower there than Port Douglas ;)

It is beautiful. :) And indeed, there is a lot of plastic in Port Douglas. :XD: A lot of err... orange tanned plastic. :|

Yeah that's the sort of plastic I was meaning ;)
