HELP! I am at the begining of your tutorial and I did everything for the first step and I don't get the fuzzy circle you do in the picture. whhhy not?! lol. do I set Linear 3D to 0 or Linear to 0? or both? When I start a new thing it always has linear3D set to 1.

you can try this if you never got a decent result, I made it after having the same problems everyone else had
You set the both linear and linear 3D to 0 on all transform, except transform 4.
*sigh* I got pretty boxes but they are all lined squares. I fail. urgh. I can't seem to get it right. lol.
you have to rotate transform 2 and align it with transform 4 just like on the image. if you already got it working you can try to explore it.
