I wish we were allowed to just wander in ME2. In ME1, we could get out of the Mako, and the Citadel was an impressive place. With ME2, we're herded down narrow hallways to NPCs that dispense missions for us.

I agree that I miss exploring planets, really. But there are also very nice things in ME2. It's just that it is quite different from ME1 in lots of ways.
