Well, as someone who knows, just drawing eyes isn't easier, it's a lot harder! You have less to work with, no nose, no mouth, and those are big parts of facial expression,so if you can express yourself with just eyes, I think that takes great skill!
I agree, although I must admit I need to work harder on my expressions before I feel comfortable enough to submit something, I am a perfectionist with sort of an OCD vibe...it sucks!!
