apparently they appear the same when in their true form i.e. Ornate Armor that doesn't have the abdominal area covered the only real difference is the helm and that Metaron(angel) has a ball of light/white fire while Metatron has a ball of Darkness/black fire and their background is different as Metaron was supposed to protect the last seal to Lucifer's cage while Metatron was said to guard a magical item that was said to grant its owner power even greater than Odin himself
