Thanks! I agree. For Fight Club, the soap works. I don't want to sound like a grump, but there are tons of those minimalist movie posters out there that seem to miss the point. As an example that I've just made up as not to pick on anyone--a Zombieland poster featuring just a Twinkie. That movie isn't about Twinkies. Sure, one of the characters in the movie is looking for them, but that image alone is not going to entice anyone into wanting to seek that movie out. If anything, it's just an in-joke with others who have seen the movie. I suppose you could make the argument that these AREN'T supposed to work like real posters and they're just for fun. That's totally fine. There really aren't any rules for making your own posters and putting them up on DeviantArt, I suppose. And let's face it--I'm NOT an expert by any means. I barely know what I'm doing so I guess more than anything, I'm just stating my preference.
