Hey man, I'll be honest with you, I see everything as a small movie in my mind as well and that was the most difficult and stressful thing to do when adapting my screenplay to comic book format, switching from movement to static panels was not easy.

Couple of things that really helped me was reading other comics and seeing their scripts. It really gives you a good sense of how much you rely on the artist working with you and how exactly you go about coming with the panels. I guess it's all about collaborating as there's nothing wrong in writing movement as long as it can be drawn, you know?

Also, watch some of those "from storyboards to finished scenes" on the special features of a few movies out there. Because I spent a lot of time in two film schools it did help me a lot to always break a screenplay down in shots and then storyboarding them.

I hope that helps and actually this is such a good topic I will cover in a future article, I know it will help me a lot thinking about this sort of process.
