Having worked with pinkfoam before, I can tell you've got some coating on it to seal it for painting. What did you use? You had mentioned using resin for the helmet, are all the props made with that?

Also: great idea with the silver-pen painting. Much easier than fabric paint and a cleaner look too!

I sealed it with latex paint. Though if I were to do it again I would have used a slowish setting two part plastic resin.

Aha! Unfortunately I know so many people who are allergic to latex that I forget that it is an option. I'm always a little nervous about resin, some types do strange things to foam x.x
