That started out as a my little pony!
I'd sometimes just like leaving sculptures white too, but sometimes I think it's just because I can't think of a color. xD

Yep! She did start out as a G3 Butter Pop, but naturally, I had to hack her apart. THANKFULLY she had lost her nasty fake popcorn scent a long time ago, so I was able to rescent her with a raspberry oil to kill off the remaining popcorny scent.

Sadly, you can't smell the raspberry through all of the apoxie sculpt, but I'll find a way to rescent him after painting. There has to be a way to do it without destroying the paint or sealers.

Wow, I would have never guessed it used to be one of those.
How did you even get the idea to make him?

Actually, it's a commission order!

*DeepDarkCreations commissioned me last year to do a custom of the Angel of Death from Hellboy 2, and she was awesomely patient enough to wait on the commission wait list for it ( the orders I get can get kind of heavily detailed ^^; ). I have a DEEP love for Jim Henson's and Guillermo del Torro's creative imaginations, such beautifully detailed works from both men, which inspires me to go crazy with insane detailing myself when I create works like this. So when the time came to design the Angel before sculpting, I kind of already knew where I wanted to take it.

I've been watching Hellyboy 2, Pan's Labyrinth, the Dark Crystal, and The Storyteller series RELIGIOUSLY during the process of creating this sculpture to hopefully suck out some of those two mens awesomely insane imaginations for this piece.

Oh cool. I did see Hellboy 2, and I loved all the character/creature designs so I know what you mean. The commissionee is extremely lucky to have such an extremely detailed sculpture.
