okay!! (sad face!) Christmas is coming up! Do you guys do anything like christmas?? Just a thought..
oh yeah we do^^. we do it like most Americans would but we don't do all of the stuff you guys do 
. we put up big Christmas trees and put gifts underneath it. we wait until 12 midnight before we open it.mmm Christmas caroling isn't popular here though. oh we don't do the mistletoe stuff you do there. nor do we bake cookies . oh right but before Christmas eve, we have a noche buena. sorta like the whole family eating together before Christmas eve ^^

Christmas caroling isn't really all that popular here unless you are part of a church that is evangelizing a lot and they just use it as part of their routines.. I have never been able to get anyone under the mistletoe that I wanted to be with there. lol... Been caught a couple of times there by people who had I been given a choice, I would have chosen to not be there!! Kinda dumb I guess, complaining about being kissed.. Kinda like complaining about winning a lottery! Yes we do the family get togethers too.. Love them because usually everyone brings their favorite foods! Makes for awesome eating!! Have lots of really good cooks in the family.. So sounds like your Christmases are pretty cool too! Is just about my favorite holiday! I like giving and most of the family likes receiving, so it works out really well for all of us.. lol...

That was one of the original reasons for mistltoe at Christmas so people, who were not supposed to, could kiss a little without anyone getting all bent out of shape over it. Unfortunately, like many other things, some people have found ways to play the system a little and apply it to things not really supposed to happen. Like someone you don't really want to kiss doing it anyway and using the holiday mistltoe as cover their tails.. Boyfriends or dads don't get to punch people when the kiss happens under the mistltoe.. Was supposed to help maintain good cheer during the holidays by helping prevent fights. And if you were lucky, could get a kiss from someone no one approved of, but you really liked. Like maybe Romeo and Juliet would have been okay kissing if it had been under a mistltoe!...
