ok so. you were double clicking on shimeji.exe to get the japanese to appear, right?
then. there should be another icon called shimeji.jar. if it has the icon of your unzipping program (alzip, winzip, winrar, 7zip, etc), open it, then select 'properties', select the list of extensions that can be opened with your unzipping program and deselect .jar .
then simply double click on shimeji.jar, and the shimeji should work. ^^

Well on my desktop i have a link (you know like Exploror) And that says shimeji i double clicked that and it gave me the Japanese and there aren't any other ones. (I'M SO CONFUSED DX< )

the instructions were quite clear.
1 you download the .zip or the .rar, your choice
2 you create a folder on your desktop
3 you extract the files from the .zip or .rar into the folder you just created
there should be NO link like explorer on your desktop. not at all.
