BTW, I know what you mean when you say a superhero movie without romance is refreshing. I think so too, even if I like this pairing. It's just that people feel OBLIGATED to add romance in EVERYTHING!

Oh, I totally agree ! :) It's really exceptional (and almost impossible !) to find a book, movie or any piece of fiction without romance in it. When I started watching Iron Man, I was like "Oh, right, we're gonna get te usual superhero/sexy lady pairing... How cliché." I didn't really mind, since I love both characters, but I was definitely surprised when I finished watching the movie and realized there was absolutely NO romance at all ! It was so cool and original !

That's why I think Tony and Pepper's relationship was much more interesting in the first movie than in the second, because of their ambiguous-but-so-cute-friendship. I love them.

I didn't get the chance to see the second IM but knew that there would be romance, it was inevitable. Still it was very nice not having that in at least the first one. There was something close to flirting but they never did kiss.
Tony and Pepper do have a very interesting relashionship and I think they are meant for eachother. No one knows him better and no one can deal with him better than her XD

Oh, you should see it if you liked the first one ! It's great too :) You're right, it was inevitable... The producers wouldn't let Jon Favreau direct two movies with no romance, haha.

Even though I prefer a non-romantic relationship between Tony and Pepper, I agree that they're meant for eachother. I mean, no one else than Pepper could deal with Tony Stark, right ? I didn't really mind them kissing at the end of IM 2 (I knew it would happen sooner or later...) but I definitely preferred their less conventional relationship from the first movie. Some weird kind of flirting/joking/being mad at eachother. It was awesome and suited Tony's character perfectly. =D

I'll buy IM2 as soon as I get enough money. I really wanna see it!
I agree, Tony and Pepper's frienship was interesting and it would have been very cool if it remained this way, but a romance was of course inevitable. Not that I reakky mind.

I have to admit I don't buy my DVDs, I just download them :noes: But IM 2 is worth the money, it's a really good movie.

Yep, unfortunately 99,9% of the movies need to have romance in them... Too bad, it's kind of boring, especially because it's so predictable. There was no romance in the new Sherlock Holmes either, which was cool (I noticed Holmes kissed Simza in the trailer, no idea where that came from, it's not in the film. Not that I'm complaining, I think it's much better that way... Sherlock Holmes in a romantic relationship ? Oh please. =D)
