I've only played Silent Hill Origins.
There wasn't much on plot detail but I did like the gameplay.

Origins is a good game. I think each of the Silent Hill games is really good for one reason! C:
It's a chance RE and SH isn't the same thing... x) Even if RE is a good game, it is not scary at ALL, and the plot is more action oriented that psychological. D:

How could they dislike it? It was awesome! The silence of the mansion, the atmosphere, the thunder raging outside, hearing Lisa's moans and the rustle of her chains, learning the secrets of the mansion and the fate of its architect, the darkness of the woods outside and fearing what could come out.
One thing I found annoying was the zombie with the grenades on him...
Still, everything was so good and it still has impressive graphics. There's also the factor of conserving ammo, avoiding zombies so you don't have to kill them and use up kerosene. Crimson Heads... always something to be afraid of. The rustle of the doors, knowing there's something on the other side...
