Well Fractal manipulations are still fractals as long as the manipulation doesn't completely kill the fractal structures - you already call a fractal artwork manipulated when you only change the overall colors in photoshop after rendering because you realize those you have aren't what you wanted. Or to MY records I'd also call it a fractal manip if I would add another image, for example a Texture, in Ultra Fractal (there is a formula you can do that with) and then build the fractal upon it and render it. That Texture isn't a fractal structure so rendered or not it always would be a manip to me though DragonWinter leaves it to everyones opinion if it is or not. But Bryce definately is a 3D Renderer - Visit *Fiery-Fire she is quiet versed with Bryce but is also one of the neatest fractal artists I know - by now she never subvmitted a Bryce piece into the fractal category no matter how abstract it was. Xantipa for example has manips she crates from fractals, photos and abstract stuff she uses to submit them to Digital Art Miscellaneous and Abstract depending on what is the main part of the picture . if it was a photo she also submits to photomanips - you see you can get a grasp of the categories and their subfolders if you try to think about your work and relate it to the category title - you never would submit a raw fractal to the photomanip category would you?
