Yeah, I started reading comics after the Morrison era, but I got some of it on trade and... just... yuck. I quickly learned to hate Morrison. I don't get what people see in him.
He's definitely a love him or hate him writer. I've always dug him, I just like his style of writing and weird, out there ideas, but I've been reading his stuff since the early 90s with his Animal Man run and Arkham Asylum graphic novel (that really put him on the map in the late 80s) so I've been accustomed to his stuff since then when it was something "special" in the midst of all the Rob Liefeld-esque big guns and pouches and no story type books of the late 80s, early 90s. its just sorta stuck with me since then I guess.
Since I've only been reading comics for under a decade I haven't seen his earlier stuff. All I know is that when he tries to write humorous dialogue it always makes me feel dirty.
